“People were created to be loved. Things were created to be used. The reason why the world is in chaos is because things are being loved and people are being used.” – Unknown

Today we want to provide some insight into how real and tangible the issue of human trafficking is here in the United States. Part of the vision behind Continue Good is to raise awareness and to help people understand the tangible ways that this issue affects those around us.

Here is an article from the local non profit coffee shop where I work at that explains what trafficking looks like here in Colorado. It also highlights ways that we can continue to take steps forward in combating it.

In this news article the founder of the coffee shop is interviewed as well as a police officer who is stationed in the town next to us- Fort Collins, Colorado (where Mollie went to college).

In this article one of the biggest take aways is that we as a community can do something about this social injustice. The coffee shop where I work is one small example, as is the organization we partner with http://www.freeourgirls.org . In the same way, every time that you purchase a candle from us you are taking a stand in being a part of something bigger then yourself!

We want to encourage you to continue researching this topic and to find ways that you can get involved in fighting for the hearts of those involved. We would love to hear from you if you know of any other companies or organizations that are doing something to stand with us in this! Always feel free to leave a comment below :)
